This course provides an up-to-date overview of the health care industry, spotlighting communication issues in patient care, health care administration, public relations, human resources, health education, and the media. It includes coverage of diverse cultures and ethical considerations. Prerequisites: Admission to the HLA program, HLA 300 - Foundations of Healthcare and Online Learning and ◎ HLA 366 - Professional Communication Skills for Health Care Leaders or instructor permission and HLA Program Director notification.
