EDFD 701 - Principles and Problems of Curriculum Design


(3 credits)

This course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills to create, implement, and evaluate curriculum in learning organizations (K-12, health education, and post-secondary classrooms). Students will explore curriculum design models and the relationship with varied academic contents. Topics include curriculum design and structural principles, student engagement and learning, and alignment to the assessment of student learning of designed curriculum. Offered through the Education - Curriculum & Instruction (EDCI) - MS  and Education Doctorate (EDUO) - EdD . Prerequisite: admission to graduate study. Grade only. Offered annually (usually fall semester).
