CTE 407 - Curriculum Design in Career and Technical Education


(3 credits)

The focus of this course is on the curriculum design principles and practices used in teaching Career and Technical Education. The content will challenge personal held ideas, assumptions, and practices for designing curriculum in CTE. Participants will study topics including developing an understanding of the curriculum and learning models, learning outcomes, assessment, and evaluation as it applies to CTE. Participants will develop a course of study directly related to their CTE specialty area. The course presents an organized format that potential teachers can apply to future courses. Pre/corequisite: CTE 405 - Teaching Methods in Career and Technical Education  or instructor permission. Grade or P/NC. Offered each semester.
