Purpose

The department’s major purpose is to provide quality education to persons seeking advanced study in counseling and related professions and to provide selected undergraduate and community service courses. The department offers elective courses for undergraduates; however, departmental concentrations lead only to the Master of Science degree. (See the Graduate Catalog for program descriptions.) For a list of undergraduate courses offered, go to course descriptions and filter for courses with the prefix CE.

Pass/No Credit (P/NC) Courses

Except for internships and practica, undergraduate students must take all courses in their major, minor, options, concentrations and licensures on a grade-only basis. The P/NC option is available to non-majors unless otherwise noted. Courses offered on a pass/no credit-only or grade-only basis are so designated in the course descriptions.
