BIOL 411 - Protein Structure and Function


(1 S.H.)

An advanced study of protein primary, secondary, tertiary, and quaternary structure using the data found in the National Institutes of Health Protein Data Bank, along with software for visualization and presentation of crystallographic data. Protein functions will be correlated with the structural features through primary literature, monographs, and textbooks. Lecture and demonstration. Prerequisites: △ BIOL 308 - Cell Biology , and CHEM 340 - Organic Chemistry Survey  or CHEM 350 - Principles of Organic Chemistry I . Letter Grade only. Offered according to demand.
