WGSS 230 - Queer Cinema in the United States


(3 S.H.)

The historical/rhetorical study of queer cinema in the United States provides a distinct opportunity to analyze the persuasive influence of film on the cultural constructions of sexuality and gender during the 20th and early 21st centuries. Students will view and discuss queer films presented in the United States spanning the time period from the early 1900’s to the present day.  Meets GOAL 6 (Humanities) and GOAL 7. Grade and P/NC. Offered as needed.
