POLS 240 - Global Environmental Problems and Policy

An examination of environmental problems and controversies distinguished by their international or global magnitude. Students will explore a range of global environmental challenges, such as population pressure, sustainable development, pollution, species loss, climate change, war, and associated governmental and non-governmental systems to address these challenges. Special emphasis is placed on the evaluation of current and prospective policies for managing global environmental problems. Grade only. Offered yearly.
