CHEM 439 - Biochemistry of Drug Metabolism

An advanced elective that emphasizes the qualitative and quantitative chemistry of drug metabolism. Topics include pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, drug absorption, distribution and excretion, phase I and phase II biotransformation, principles of therapeutics, and toxicology. Prerequisites: CHEM 407 - Biochemistry II or instructor’s permission. Offered every three years.
