NURS 465 - Population-Based Health Care II


(4 S.H.) (2 S.H. theory/2 S.H. practicum) (Baccalaureate RN Completion)

This course focuses on evidence-based health promotion interventions to populations. Students are expected to provide competent care by using high ethical standards and critical thinking. Students will elaborate on the foundational principles of teaching/learning in developing a sophisticated health promotion teaching tool. Students will become a student of the community, to learn from families and other aggregates in the community how they define and promote their own health. Students will integrate evidence based practices in developing nursing interventions. Prerequisites: Admission to the RN-BS Completion Program, NURS 415 - Concepts in Professional Nursing , NURS 435 - Holistic Assessment , △ NURS 475 - Population-Based Health Care I . Co-Requisites: △ NURS 445 - Evidence-Based Leadership and Management , NURS 455 - Continuum of Care , ◎ NURS 491 - Professional Development .
