ENG 304 - Victorian and Post-Civil War Literature

A literary-history survey of mid- to late-19th century literature in England and America, this course covers selected major writers, works, and genres. The course also surveys aesthetic concepts and historical contexts associated with British literature of the Victorian period and with American literature from the mid-1800s to the turn of the century. Prerequisites: ◆ ENG 290 - Literary Studies . Grade only.
