Physical, chemical, and biological processes that affect sedimentation and depositional systems. Study of stratigraphic nomenclature and correlation, facies models and depositional sequences, eustatic changes of sea level, and plate tectonics. Lecture, laboratory and required field trips. Prerequisites: GEOS 305 - Minerals and Rocks and ENG 111 - College Reading and Writing. Grade only. Offered alternate years.
