MCOM 274 - Video and Audio Production for Digital Storytelling


(3 S.H.)

This course will give students proficiency in the fundamentals of audio and video production in the digital era. It will cover several methods to produce a video or audio piece, from studio and field production to computer-generated media works. The student will be versed in technical terminology and narrative techniques to maximize the use of video and audio tools into a transmedia narrative. The course will contain hands-on assignments with professional cameras and microphones as well as sound and video editing software. Prerequisites: MCOM 221 - Principles of Transmedia Storytelling . Grade only. Offered annually.
