HIST 583 - The Progressive Era and the

Consideration will be given to the cultural and economic crisis of the 1890’s, the progressive impulse, varieties of progressive reform, progressive foreign policy and World War I, postwar adjustment problems and select phenomena of the Twenties. The course will conclude with study of Herbert Hoover’s economic and political vision. May also be taken for undergraduate credit as HIST 483. See Undergraduate Catalog.
