SPED 575 - Secondary Field Experience for ABS

(3 S.H.)

This field experience provides the opportunity for teacher candidates to apply and practice knowledge and skills required for Minnesota licensure as an Academic and Behavioral Strategist. Teacher candidates will be placed in a secondary Special Education setting over the course of the semester. Assignments required for the field experience will align with assignments required for SPED 571 and 573. Preparation for the edTPA required in SPED 677 ABS Student Teaching/ABS Internship will be included. Prerequisites: SPED 500 - Education of Exceptional Children/Youth, SPED 505 - Student Management Systems, SPED 520 - Special Education Administrative Procedures, and admission to Teacher Education. Prerequisite or Co-requisite: SPED 525 - Inclusion in Regular Classrooms. P/NC only. Offered each semester.
