HERS 692 - Athletic Training Clinical Experience V


(3 S.H.)

This course is the last in a series, which provides admitted athletic training students with integrated clinical education experiences with preceptors. This experience will be an immersion experience in a traditional or emerging athletic training setting. Students will be placed at a clinical site for a minimum of an eight week immersion where they will be provided the opportunity to apply knowledge and master skills related to the role of a Certified Athletic Trainer. Students will also prepare to sit for the Board of Certification (BOC) Examination. This course will review course content from all courses within the Athletic Training program. Prerequisites: HERS 672 - Pharmacology for Athletic Training , HERS 673 - Psychosocial Issues in Sports Medicine , HERS 680 - Administration and Professionalism in Athletic Training , HERS 691 - Athletic Training Clinical Experience IV , and admission to Athletic Training Program. Grade only. Offered spring semester.
