SOC 460 - Internship


(1-12 S.H.)

This experience is designed as an intensive, professionally supervised internship within an organization relevant to sociological practice. Emphasis is on the student assuming professional responsibilities and applying relevant knowledge and skills within the organization. Course is individually arranged. Prerequisites: ENG 111 - College Reading and Writing , SOC 150 - Introduction to Sociology , STAT 110 - Fundamentals of Statistics  or ◆ PSY 231 - Statistics , ◆ SOC 376 - Introduction to Social Research , △ SOC 377 - Social Theory , ◎ SOC 378 - Intermediate Social Research , and at least three upper-division Sociology courses. Corequisite: △ SOC 463 - Sociology Internship Seminar . P/NC only. Offered each semester.
