GEOS 100 - Minnesota’s Rocks and Waters

Introduction to Minnesota’s geological history focusing on such topics as Minnesota’s rock record and history, fossils, mining, soils, lakes, rivers and ground water. Meets GOAL 3 and GOAL 10. Includes laboratory and field experiences. Grade only. Offered annually (usually fall semester). Note: Students may enroll in either GEOS 100 or GEOS 101, but they cannot earn credit for both courses.
