HERS 489 - Clinical Decision Making II


(3 S.H.)

This course is the second in a series, which provides students an integrated clinical learning experience with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and best practices. Each clinical experience will be with Approved Clinical Instructors in traditional athletic training settings and in general medical settings. Students will also complete level-specific skill and professional behavior modules in addition to completing second assessments of clinical skills learned in HERS 392 - Injury Recognition of the Lower Body , HERS 393 - Therapeutic Modalities , △ HERS 494 - Therapeutic Interventions , and HERS 389 - Strength and Conditioning Principles and Programming . Prerequisites: HERS 365 - Clinical Decision Making I , HERS 389 - Strength and Conditioning Principles and Programming , HERS 391 - Injury Recognition of the Upper Body , HERS 392 - Injury Recognition of the Lower Body , HERS 393 - Therapeutic Modalities , and △ HERS 494 - Therapeutic Interventions . Grade only. Offered annually.
