◆ CMST 380 - Communication Research Methods

This course surveys the various qualitative and quantitative approaches used in communication research. Students taking this course will learn how to use and apply communication research methods in a variety of interpersonal, group, and organization contexts, and will be well prepared to do work in fields requiring research methods such as advertising, marketing, public relations and consulting. Prerequisites: ◆ ECON 222 - Statistics for Business and Economics , ◆ PSY 231 - Statistics , STAT 110 - Fundamentals of Statistics , STAT 210 - Statistics , CMST 282 - Introduction to Communication Studies , CMST 283 - Introduction to Rhetorical Studies , one 300-level CMST course, or instructor permission. Grade or P/NC. Offered each semester.
