An introduction to the key principles and concepts of global health. The course examines the ways in which the burden of disease and the promotion of health are affected by culture, human rights, development economics and health care systems in countries around the world. The course explores links between development and public health and the principles and practice of global cooperation to tackle public health threats. The course is also designed to be an introduction to careers in global and international health promotion.
