An examination of the ideologies relevant to contemporary political life including liberalism, conservatism, communism, socialism, liberation ideologies, radical fundamentalism, and environmentalism. This course will focus on both the theoretical arguments and their application to practical policy debates. Prerequisites: CMST 191 - Introduction to Public Speaking or CMST 192 - Introduction to Speech Communication . Grade or P/NC. Offered fall semester.
