SPED 574 - Elementary Field Experience for ABS

This field experience provides the opportunity for teacher candidates to apply and practice knowledge and skills required for Minnesota licensure as an Academic and Behavioral Strategist. Teacher candidates will be placed in a elementary Special Education setting over the course of the semester. Assignments required for the field experience will align with assignments required for SPED 570 and 572 and preparation for the edTPA required in SPED 677 ABS Student Teaching. Prerequisites: SPED 500 - Children and Youth with Exceptionalities, SPED 510 - Introduction to Assessment/Methods, and SPED 520 - Special Education Administrative Procedures. Prerequisite or co-requisite: SPED 525 - Inclusion in Regular Classrooms. Co-requisites: SPED 570 - Advanced Evaluation and Assessment and SPED 572 - Elementary Instruction. P/NC only. Offered each semester.
