MSW 515 - Human Behavior Across Diverse Contexts (3 S.H.)
This course introduces and analyzes foundational theories in understanding human behavior. The focus is on the theoretical perspectives of human behavior in the social environment and its relationships of these to social work practice assessment and interventions with diverse individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities. Students understand the “person-in-environment” and other multidisciplinary frameworks that address the biopsychosocial influences of the environment. Students have opportunities to develop and demonstrate knowledge, skills, and values in various course experiences. Prerequisite: admission to MSW program or instructor permission. Grade only. Offered each semester as needed.
