DSCI 611 - Data Science Applications (3 credits)
This course will introduce current and aspiring healthcare leaders to methods and technologies used to apply of data science to healthcare. Students will be exposed to the entire data cycle; including curation, management, summarization, visualization, machine learning, and dissemination of results. The data science technologies used in this course will be both industry standard and accessible to students with a limited background in computing. Prerequisite: STAT 601 - Statistical Methods for Health Care Research or STAT/HLA 301 - Statistical Thinking for Healthcare (see undergraduate catalog). Grade only. Offered annually (usually fall semester).
