◎ ENG 481 - TESOL Theory and Methods


(3 credits)

The course examines theories, methods, and techniques of teaching English to speakers of other languages (TESOL), including psychological, socio-cultural, political, and pedagogical factors affecting learning and teaching and the influence of these factors on current teaching practice. Prerequisites: ENG 111 - College Reading and Writing  and ENG 350 - Introduction to Language Study  or instructor permission. Grade only. Offered annually (usually fall semester).
