The purpose of this course is the exploration of development and growth of children within elementary physical education settings. Program planning, games, materials, methods, and techniques of teaching physical education activities to children for early childhood, elementary, and middle school. The course will address accreditation, Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board, questions on how we address our field experience hours within the Standards of Effective Practice. Corequisite: PESS 200 - Elementary Physical Education for Classroom Teachers. P/NC only. Offered each semester.
