CMST 283 - Rhetoric, Culture, and Power


(3 credits)

This course provides an introduction to the study of rhetoric and rhetorical criticism. The primary focus of the course is on the manner in which people use public communication to influence the behavior of others. Meets GOAL 6 (Humanities). Prerequisite: CMST 191 - Introduction to Public Speaking  or CMST 192 - Introduction to Speech Communication  or sophomore standing. Grade or P/NC. Offered each semester.
