SOC 205 - Social Interaction


(3 credits)

The course is a study of human social behavior, interaction, social relations, and the effects of and on individuals, groups, organizations, and societies. Topics covered may include socialization, symbolic interactionism, social constructionism, social roles, group and individual identity, deviance, conformity, group behavior, social networks, and social cognition. Meets GOAL 5 and GOAL 7. Recommended prerequisite: SOC 150 - Introduction to Sociology . Grade only. Offered alternate semesters.
