CS 346 - Introduction to Internet of Things


(3 credits)

The class introduces students to the internet of things (IoT), as the smart devices or sensors connected in the internet. It will study the dataflow among the devices, including the data structures and algorithms used for storing and processing the data. Topics also include wireless networks, performance optimization, deployment and management strategies of devices or sensors, and cybersecurity and privacy in the IoT. Prerequisite: CS 250 - Algorithms and Problem-Solving II  or instructor permission. Grade only. Offered annually.
