NURS 422 - Nursing of Childrearing Families

This course primarily focuses on the pediatric population and explores evidence-based practices related to child growth and development, and patient-centered care for children and their families across health care settings. Child-related illnesses and disease processes are presented as well as their related nursing care. Lecture course. Prerequisites: NURS 341 - Therapeutic Applications of Nursing Skills and Health Assessment , NURS 343 - Professional Practice I , NURS 344 - Leadership in Basic Nursing Practice , NURS 360 - Pharmacology , and NURS 366 - Pathophysiology . Grade only. Offered each semester.
