GEOS 100 - Minnesota’s Rocks and Waters

(3 credits) Meets GOAL 3 and GOAL 10.

Introduction to Minnesota’s geological history focusing on such topics as Minnesota’s rock record and history, fossils, mining, soils, lakes, rivers and ground water. Includes laboratory and field experiences. Grade only. Offered annually. Note: Students may enroll in either GEOS 100 or GEOS 101 - Minnesota’s Rocks and Waters with Lab, but they cannot earn credit for both courses.
