PESS 404 - Risk Management, Planning, and Development in Physical Education and Sport
(3 credits)
This course will allow students to gain a detailed understanding of risk management assessment, planning, implementation, and research in regard to the physical education industry and sports. Students will study, analyze, and evaluate sports incidents which have occurred in the industry and develop comprehensive risk management plans utilizing models learned in class. Prerequisites: PESS 114 - Fundamentals of Adventure Education and PESS 161 - Fundamentals of Aquatics & Outdoor Activities or instructor permission. Grade only. Offered alternate semesters.
