BIOL 422 - Advanced Regional Anatomy - Cadaver Dissection (3 credits)
Students will acquire advanced knowledge of human anatomy through regional dissection of human cadavers. Students will also learn about methods of procurement and preservation of cadaveric specimens, proper dissection technique, handling of biohazardous materials, and ethical considerations relating to use of human cadavers. Prerequisites: B grade or better in BIOL 322 - Human Anatomy or B grade or better in both BIOL 211 - Anatomy and Physiology I and BIOL 212 - Anatomy and Physiology II or instructor permission. Grade or P/NC. Offered annually (usually spring semester). Note: Maximum course enrollment will be based on number of cadavers available for dissection. For each available cadaver, a maximum of 8 students can be enrolled.
