PESS 336 - Introduction to Sport Leadership

(3 credits)

Introduction to Sport Leadership focuses on leadership theories, communication skills, ethics, as well as the role of leadership in physical education and sports. Students will learn a variety of different leadership models and evaluate case studies in the physical education and sport industry. Students will also learn about required certifications, trainings, as well as evaluations and assessments of students. Prerequisites: PESS 114 - Fundamentals of Adventure Education  and PESS 161 - Fundamentals of Aquatics & Outdoor Activities  or instructor permission. Grade only. Offered annually when demand warrants.
