CE 626 - College and Career Counseling Applications (1 credit)
In this course, counseling students will apply career development theories in practical situations to support K-12 and college students with achieving their post-secondary and career goals. Knowledgeable about college and career options, and experience in using career tools such as O*Net, the Occupational Outlook Handbook (OOH), Minnesota Career Information System (MCIS), and Academic and Career Planning (ACP; Wisconsin) will be provided. Current strategies to reduce information and access gaps for the sake of supporting all students equitably will also be included in the course curriculum. Prerequisites: CE 601 - Foundations of Counseling and CE 625 - Career Development & Appraisal . Grade only. Offered annually or when demand warrants.
