Examines the complexity of elder care, including factors contributing to longevity and health in old age as well as genetic predisposition, lifestyle, culture, and environment. Prerequisites: NURS 341 - Therapeutic Applications of Nursing Skills and Health Assessment, NURS 344 - Leadership in Basic Nursing Practice, NURS 360 - Pharmacology, & NURS 366 - Pathophysiology. Grade only. Offered annually.
