ENG 350 - Introduction to Language Study


(3 credits) Meets GOAL 5.

This course provides an introduction to the study of language from a linguistic standpoint. Topics include phonetics, phonology, morphology, semantics, pragmatics, sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, language acquisition, and language and culture. This introduction to linguistics prepares students for further studies in the field. Prerequisite: ENG 111 - College Reading and Writing . Grade only. Offered annually.
