Development, characteristics, organization, and politics of the major American political parties. Includes an examination of the nominating process, party campaigns and finances, elections, voting behavior, and the role and techniques of interest groups. Prerequisite: POLS 120 - Introduction to American Politics. Grade or P/NC. Offered spring semester.
