RTTR 350 - Legal and Financial Aspects


(3 credits)

This course introduces students to an array of methods in which funds are acquired for recreation agencies, in addition to essential budgetary functions and processes. Effective grant writing techniques are also developed and applied. Aspects vital to the administration of recreation and leisure entities, including legal principles, laws, and risk management, are examined. Prerequisites: RTTR 229 - Foundations of Recreation and Leisure Studies  and RTTR 245 - Therapeutic Recreation and Services . Grade only. Offered fall semester.
