CJS 210 - Crime & Justice in America


(3 credits) Meets GOAL 9.

An introductory course focusing on the criminal justice system in America. To develop student’s capacity to understand the concepts of crime, justice, ordered liberty, fundamental fairness and individual rights and liberties. The course will include an examination and analysis of the agencies of justice with the intent of developing skills to understand evolving methodologies for identifying and managing offenders in a pluralistic society. Grade only. Offered each semester.
