◎ ECON 498 - Seminar in Economics I


(1 credit) Meets GEP Oral Intensive.

As the first part of the capstone course in Economics, students will, under the direction of the instructor, lay the foundation for a major research paper. The student will select the research topic, and conduct the literature review. The capstone project will be completed in Seminar in Economics II. Prerequisites: CMST 191 - Introduction to Public Speaking  or CMST 192 - Introduction to Effective Communication , ◆ ECON 302 - Intermediate Microeconomics , and △ ECON 303 - Intermediate Macroeconomics . The student must be an Economics major or minor. Grade only. Offered at department discretion.
