EDUC 307 - Culturally Responsive Pedagogy and Videography in Elementary Education (2 credits)
The overall aim of this course is to provide for specific integration of culturally responsive pedagogy with indigenous cultural events while embedding practice with video-recording and edTPA (teacher preparation assessment) commentary writing. Students participate in one of several week-long cultural events as a teacher/participant and then write a lesson which is then taught to peers and videotaped. Students completed truncated versions of edTPA planning and instruction commentaries. Prerequisite: EDUC 328 - Teaching Reading and Language Arts I . Grade or P/NC. Offered annually when demand warrants.
