CTE 405 - Teaching Methods in Career and Technical Education


(3 credits)

This course provides an overview of the teaching methods, instructional strategies, classroom management, and assessment used in Career and Technical Education (CTE), with a focus on the integration of resources for CTE specific areas. Development of instructional goals, objectives, and assessment of outcomes. Participants gain insight into developing meaningful and engaging practices within CTE learning environments, including strategies for addressing diverse learners’ needs through differentiation and effective engagement, facility planning and management, and facilitating sage learning environments. Prerequisites: ◆ EDFD 441 - Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment: K-12 and 5-12  and CTE 403 - Career and Technical Education Program Organization  or instructor permission. Grade or P/NC. Offered each semester.
