MS 302 - Applied Leadership in Small Unit Operations


(3 credits)

This course focuses on applied leadership in small unit operations. Students will study, practice, and apply the fundamentals of direct level leadership and small unit tactics at the platoon level. At the conclusion of this course, students will be capable of planning, coordinating, navigating, motivating and leading a platoon in the execution of a mission. It includes a Lab per week, using peer (MS III) facilitation overseen by MS IVs, supervised by ROTC Cadre. Successful completion of this course will prepare students for Cadet Summer Training/ Advanced Camp. Prerequisite: MS 301 - Training Management and the Warfighting Functions  or instructor permission. Grade only. Offered annually (usually spring semester).
