CHEM 213 - Principles of Chemistry II (4 credits) Meets GOAL 3.
An in-depth study of the principles of chemistry including solutions, thermodynamics, kinetics, acid-base theory, oxidation-reduction, complex ion equilibrium, electrochemistry, nuclear chemistry, and coordination compounds. Organic and inorganic examples are used when appropriate throughout the courses, and a short unit on organic chemistry may be included. Laboratory and lecture are coordinated. Prerequisites: CHEM 212 - Principles of Chemistry I Grade or P/NC. Offered each semester.
