(3 credits) (2 credits theory/1 credit practicum) Meets GEP Writing Intensive.

Examines the complexity of elder care, including factors contributing to longevity and health in old age as well as genetic predisposition, lifestyle, culture, and environment. Prerequisites: NURS 341 - Therapeutic Applications of Nursing Skills and Health Assessment , NURS 344 - Leadership in Basic Nursing Practice , NURS 360 - Pharmacology , & NURS 366 - Pathophysiology . Grade only. Offered annually.
