◎ SOCW 365 - Social Work Practice with Individuals


(4 credits) Meets GEP Oral Intensive.

This practice course will prepare the student for generalist social work skills of engaging, assessing, intervening, and evaluating with individuals. Students will learn ethical and professional social work behavior, the roles of a generalist social worker, self-assessment, beginning problem solving, and interviewing skills. The course is designed to introduce students to concepts of anti-racism, diversity, equity, inclusion, and the development of cultural humility in social work practice Grade only. Offered each semester on Winona and Rochester campuses. Note: Program permission required for registration. Limited enrollment.
