SOCW 400 - Professional Preparation (4 credits)
The course prepares students for entering social work practice by developing internship and job preparation skills including skills to secure their senior practicum. There will be emphasis on cultural humility, anti-racism, diversity, equity, and inclusion. Students will also focus on social work ethics and values, professional discretion, licensure, agency policies, and practices and documentation. Students should have completed (or be in the process of completing) all coursework for graduation except Practicum ( SOCW 475 - Social Work Senior Practicum ) and Seminar ( △ SOCW 480 - Integrative Social Work Seminar ). Grade only. Offered each semester on Winona and Rochester campuses. Note: Program permission required for registration. Limited enrollment.
