BBED 507 - Methods in Bilingual and Bicultural Education

This course provides students with a theoretical and practical framework for implementing Bilingual Education teaching methodologies. Topics discussed include the development of Bilingual Education programs in the U.S., educational and second language acquisition theories that influence program models, and research-based best practices that provide equal educational opportunity for linguistically and culturally diverse students. Instructor permission required. Grade only. Offered annually or when demand warrants.
