MUS 255 - Improvisation and Creation

A study of basic approaches to improvisation through pitch sets, harmony, and form on the student’s primary instrument. Application of concepts are practiced through various forms of integration with electronic music practices. Prerequisite: MUS 201 - Theory I or MUS 180 - Electronic Music Production or instructor permission. Grade or P/NC. Offered alternate years. Maximum repeatability is three times. This would be a total of 6 credits (3 x 2).
